We are seeking an experienced
Paralegal
to support our
Litigation Practice Group
in our Rochester, NY office. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of handling a high volume of time‑sensitive matters with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
Manage document production and organization using litigation support platforms.
File documents in state and federal courts via e‑filing systems (NYSCEF, PACER).
Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and court appearances.
Assist in trial preparation including assembling exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
Conduct research and gather information from various sources including court records and public filings.
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other third parties.
Maintain client files and documentation in accordance with firm procedures.
Manage and track billable hours.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum of 3‑5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
Experience with state and federal e‑filing systems.
Prior family law, collections, or bankruptcy experience is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys and other staff.
Notary Public/RON is preferred.
