A warm, dynamic family in Westport, Connecticut is seeking a confident and experienced full‑time nanny to join their team and provide support for their two children, ages 8 and 5. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment where communication and teamwork are valued. The family’s home is warm, casual, and welcoming – they want this person to feel like part of the family while maintaining professionalism and boundaries. You’ll work alongside a new au pair from Israel and a chef/household manager, so strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate across roles is essential. The family values direct communication, confidence, and a sense of humor, and they’re looking for someone mature, proactive, and naturally structured. This is a long‑term position with the opportunity to grow with the family. The family has a dog in the home, so they must be comfortable with pets. Schedule
Monday‑Friday, 11am to 6pm The schedule is regularly 35 hours a week, but the family is paying for 40 hrs in case they need flexibility on rare occasions Occasional date nights or travel support preferred but not required Start Date
Mid‑November to December Responsibilities
Provide attentive, loving care for two bright, active children (ages 8 and 5) Handle school pick‑ups, after‑school activities Managing children’s inventory and supplies Ensuring they are prepared for school and after‑school activities Maintain consistent routines, set boundaries, and encourage respectful behavior Collaborate with the au pair for coverage transitions and continuity of care Coordinate with parents on playdates, activity planning, and children’s schedules Qualifications
Confident and capable with school‑aged children Strong communicator – direct, respectful, and proactive Organized, self‑sufficient, and adaptable to a busy household Collaborative and comfortable working alongside other caregivers Values teamwork, transparency, and mutual respect Bonus Skills
Hebrew or French language skills (not required) Confident swimmer, or able to supervise children while they’re in the pool, and feel confident saving a child if needed Requirements
5+ years of experience as a nanny and/or family assistant Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Legal to work in the U.S. Passport ready is a bonus, but not required Salary and Benefits
$40–$45/hour W‑2 employment 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week family’s choice, 1 week nanny’s choice) Nanny car provided for all work‑related errands Paid holidays Health insurance stipend (negotiable)
