LRE (Leeward Renewable Energy) is a high-growth renewable energy company with a sustainable future built on integrity and innovation. We own and operate 30 wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States, totaling over 3 gigawatts (GW) of generating capacity. LRE aims to reach 10 GW of operating assets by 2028 and continues to develop and contract an increasing pipeline of new projects each year. The Contracts Manager is a senior individual contributor and member of the Project Execution and Procurement groups. The Contracts Manager reports to the VP of Procurement and focuses on leading the drafting and negotiation of EPC services contracts and related exhibits. As part of the Project Execution and Procurement teams, the Contracts Manager works cross-functionally with legal counsel and subject matter experts to drive negotiations to close efficiently, balancing commercial, legal, and execution priorities while ensuring consistency with corporate commercial and risk management guidelines. Responsibilities
Lead contract negotiations with EPC service providers to support construction of Leeward’s wind, solar, and/or battery projects Collaborate with Pre-Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Legal, and other SMEs to define contract requirements, align with technical specifications and schedules, and ensure proper contractual procedures in the procurement process Review, redline, negotiate and draft contractual language using legal, commercial, and technical inputs Implement Company policies and standards into contracts for assigned projects Ensure quality and safety are key considerations in contractual terms and conditions Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers Maintain understanding of the market including current pricing and key terms and conditions provisions Provide updates to senior staff on contractual risks associated with each contract or counterparty with mitigation recommendations Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field 3-5+ years of experience negotiating EPC agreements Experience in the energy industry; renewable energy experience highly preferred Detail oriented with a high level of organization Strong intrapersonal and communication skills Demonstrated knowledge of EPC contracts and inherent contractual risks Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Self-starter who can take initiative and work independently to drive the process to a conclusion Physical Demands
