Job Responsibilities
Identify and count small insects under stereo microscope.
Assist with insect colonies and plant seeds/seedlings.
Process samples stored in alcohol or frozen weekly.
Check colonies and maintained plants twice weekly.
Participate in weekly lab meetings to determine additional duties.
Qualifications
Must be punctual and reliable.
Ability to work hours required, including hours spent looking through microscopes.
Physical ability to lift soil tubs and pots, and drive as needed.
Additional Information This position involves working in a vegetable entomology research lab focused on pest insects affecting vegetable productivity in Georgia.
