Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years college coursework or equivalent technical training required. Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certificate preferred.
Minimum of ten years paralegal experience required. Prior work experience in a corporate legal and/or corporate law firm environment required. Previous experience with litigation, corporate contracts, non‑profit entities, document retention policies, sweepstakes, or contests preferred.
Advanced level skills with Microsoft Word and Lexis‑Nexis/Westlaw required.
Must be able to handle multiple, complex tasks simultaneously within established deadlines. Must be highly organized and possess strong writing skills.
Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare and review major commercial agreements, including title, sponsorship, facilities, television, tournament, and other contractual agreements.
Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of contractual arrangements, including marketing agreements, vendor agreements, ticketing and hotel agreements, leases, independent contractor, consulting, and other business arrangements of the PGA TOUR, as directed.
Assist attorney in monitoring and managing all litigation and pre-suit disputes, including complex commercial matters, class actions, civil rights lawsuits, wage and hour claims, personal injury, employee benefits claims, and significant internal investigations as directed.
Provide daily legal support to various business divisions of the PGA TOUR, including the PGA TOUR, Nationwide Tour, Champions Tour, Championship Management, International Television, New Media, Retail Licensing, and Tournament Players Clubs as directed.
Assist with the development of sweepstakes and contest requirements and draft appropriate legal documentation.
Assist with regulatory compliance pertaining to non‑profit entities.
Assist with the implementation and enforcement of our Document Retention Policy and electronic record management.
Special projects or other duties as assigned.
