Litigation Paralegal
Hackensack - New Jersey Office | Onsite 3 days per week
Overview A leading law firm is seeking someone with 3 or more years of law firm litigation paralegal experience. This role supports attorneys across the Litigation Department and requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities • Organize and maintain court materials and matter files • Draft, proof, and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents • Prepare correspondence, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and related communications with minimal supervision • Manage dockets, calendars, matter dates, and all case deadlines • Digest deposition transcripts and assist with deposition preparation • Coordinate deposition, hearing, motion, and trial preparation • Lead and support the paper and electronic discovery process, including identifying potentially relevant electronically stored information, preparing legal hold notices, and coordinating with clients to preserve and collect relevant sources • Assist with processing, reviewing, and coding electronically stored information in review platforms • Perform electronic filing through CM/ECF and the New Jersey e filing systems
Required Qualifications • 3 or more years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting • Bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate • Proven experience with electronic filing in CM/ECF and New Jersey e filing systems • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Proficiency with Relativity and Concordance
Nice to Have • Familiarity with iManage • Experience coordinating large scale document reviews and privilege logs • Comfort with deposition exhibit management and trial technology support
