Status : Full-time (1.0 FTE) Shift Times:

Sunday 7:30am-8:00pm, Monday 7:30am-8:00pm, Tuesday 11:30am-8:00pm, Wednesday 11:30am-8:00pm Job Summary: Verifies patient identification and that the requested exam correlates with the patient’s clinical history and presentation. Explains the examination and associated procedures to the patient and responds to patient’s questions and concerns. Performs two and/or three dimensional ultrasonic recordings/imaging of internal organs/structures for diagnosis and study of organ malfunction. Performs measurements and calculations according to protocol, providing timely, accurate, concise, and complete documentation. Prepares medication, supplies, and equipment for invasive and non-invasive procedures, using sterile technique when appropriate. Performs procedural timeout and provides ultrasound guidance for interventional procedures. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and regulatory agency requirements. Patient Safety:

Responsible for overall patient safety and hazard prevention. Patient Schedules:

Assists lead tech in prioritizing referrals and scheduling to accommodate add-on exams. Protocols:

Assists in developing, implementing, and updating protocols as needed. CQI & QA:

Participates in yearly CQI and QA activities as approved by the Director. Patient Experience:

Aims to improve patient satisfaction scores for the modality and department. Staffing & Scheduling:

Provides input on staffing schedules to meet physician and patient needs, adhering to productivity standards and budgets. PACS:

Ensures timely and quality transfer of images and studies to PACS, working with the PACS Administrator to resolve issues. Staff Training/Orientation:

Participates in training and orientation of new employees, helping develop comprehensive onboarding processes. Staff Development:

Assists in teaching and skill improvement of co-workers. Regulatory Compliance:

Maintains training and readiness for compliance with DNV, CMS, and other agencies, practicing within scopes set by relevant certifying bodies. Equipment Maintenance:

Communicates equipment issues to leadership and contacts vendors or biomed support as needed. Department Projects:

Participates in accreditation, quality initiatives, and promotional activities. Inventory:

Assists in ordering and managing inventory. Modality Liaison:

Maintains positive communication with other departments and staff to ensure smooth patient care. Positive Engagement:

Demonstrates positive interactions, encourages colleagues, and promotes a collaborative environment. Other Assignments:

Performs additional tasks as requested by leadership.
