Responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing exercise programs and education for all phases of cardiac rehabilitation of cardiac and pulmonary patients. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. Obtain certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 6 months of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science (preferred). One (1) year experience in cardiac rehabilitation. Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) or Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) Certification. Core Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are general responsibilities; other duties may be assigned: Develop, implement, and evaluate exercise programs for patients in all phases of rehabilitation. Complete feedback and communication to patients and healthcare team, including EMR documentation. Assist with insurance authorization, scheduling, and billing. Conduct stress testing and interpret results, seeking medical evaluation as needed. Intervene immediately if a patient responds adversely to any treatment, documenting events. Ensure patients and support systems understand education and treatment plans. Create educational materials and provide exercise instruction. Provide clinical oversight for exercise across all risk levels. Stay updated on new programs and developments in the field. Physical Requirements:
Minimize manual patient lifting; use equipment and aids as indicated. Require strength and stamina for lifting, moving, and standing. Specific vision abilities required. Working Environment:
Maintain a safe environment considering environmental factors and infection control. Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills. Knowledge of cardiopulmonary diseases. Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, and behavioral strategies. Judgment and problem-solving skills. Additional Details:
