The community you’ll be caring for AdventHealth Ambulatory service

When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole‑person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.

Job Role and Responsibilities As a Speech Pathologist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilize process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self‑determined, professional judgment and action.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients as medically prescribed, in a professional manner and within hospital standards, adhering to the corporate compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.

Oversees the care provided by therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.

Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department, through effective time management and clinical efficiency and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.

Practices principles of professional development and performance improvements by maintaining clinical knowledge, using best and or evidence‑based practices, and serving as a Clinical instructor.

Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours and assisting in other centers/programs as needed.

Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Master’s [Required] in Speech/Language Pathology

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Speech‑Language Pathologist - Provisional (SLP‑PROV) [Required] OR

Speech‑Language Pathologist - Temporary (SLP‑TEMP) [Required]
