is seeking a Primary Therapist to provide individual, group, and family therapy to adolescent clients in a high acuity, residential mental health facility. This position involves delivering therapeutic services to clients aged 11-17 who are receiving residential treatment for behavioral health issues such as self-harm, aggression, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, trauma, mood instability, depression, and anxiety. Candidates should thrive working with acute clients for three to six months, be innovative in their interventions, and seek growth and challenges in their role. Pay Rate:
Starting at $50,000 annually Schedule:
Full-Time, flexible scheduling Responsibilities of a Primary Therapist:
Utilize counseling and psychotherapy to evaluate and treat emotional and mental barriers to health Assess needs and determine appropriate individual, group, and family counseling Conduct interviews and assessments to determine client suitability for the program Provide crisis intervention as needed Interpret and implement procedures related to crisis situations Deliver direct counseling services Monitor and assess client behavior Create individualized treatment and service plans Lead the evening program at least once a week Report incidents to the Clinical Director Embrace the mission, vision, and goals of Atlanta Recovery Place Work independently and collaboratively Demonstrate high initiative Minimum Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience with high acuity mental health clients Licensure or certification: LPC, LAPC, LMSW, or LCSW 3-5 years of experience in substance abuse and/or mental health treatment Ability to lead group and individual therapy sessions CPR and CPI training preferred Benefits:
