Job Summary Delivers proficient and technically advanced nursing care to designated patients, upholding high standards of professionalism. Administers direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Demonstrates leadership by directing and supervising team members while collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate care in line with unit standards.
What You'll Need
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Current RN licensure in North Carolina
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
CNOR preferred
Minimum of one year Operating Room experience or participation in a post-graduate program
Refresher course required for nurses who have not worked in an Operating Room for five years or more
What You'll Do Job requirements may include, but are not limited to:
Uphold the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care across the care continuum
Ensure prompt, accurate, and comprehensive communication of patient information
Demonstrate cost-effective practices and resource management
Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families
Maintain personal accountability and drive performance and professional growth
Skills/Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication
Calm and effective in high-stress situations
Ability to maintain performance with fluctuating workloads and competing priorities
Adherence to high clinical nursing practice standards
Commitment to patient safety
Fundamental computer proficiency
