Ingalls Memorial Hospital (Calumet City)

as a Physical Therapist. In this role you will examine, evaluate, test, and work to alleviate mechanical, physiological, or developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or other health and movement related conditions; classify these disorders, determine a rehabilitation prognosis and plan of therapeutic intervention, and assess the ongoing effects of the interventions.

Base Pay Range $95,000.00/yr - $110,800.00/yr

Essential Job Functions

Evaluates patients utilizing advanced/specialized tests and measurements to determine the physical therapy problem, level of function, and the expected discharge environment.

Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs of adult patients.

Establishes a treatment plan based upon the evaluation findings, and the patient/family, the referring practitioner, and therapist's goals.

Performs advanced/specialized physical therapy techniques and procedures.

Treats patients with complex problems, e.g., comorbidities and/or poor previous outcomes; consults on difficult cases for staff and referring practitioners.

Documents findings; patient progress; and procedures performed, and time required.

Instructs patient/families in home programs.

Demonstrates effective time management and achieves designated productivity standard.

Performs comprehensive evaluations to assess musculoskeletal conditions.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited program with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.

Licensed, or eligible, in the state of Illinois with notification of eligibility for examination.

Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

The pay range is based on a full‑time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and its respective union.
