Physical Therapist . In this role as a
Physical Therapist , you will examine, evaluate, test and work to alleviate mechanical, physiological or developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or other health and movement related conditions; classifying these disorders, determining a rehabilitation prognosis and plan of therapeutic intervention and assessing the ongoing effects of the interventions. Through our alliance with Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, the top rehabilitation hospital in the country, we provide the most effective rehabilitation therapies combined with our advanced academic health care. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess musculoskeletal conditions, including evaluation and treatment of patients with cancer diagnoses and/or lymphedema. Patients are seen along the cancer care continuum for prehabilitation and rehabilitation for treatment-related symptoms such as fatigue, neuropathy, cancer-related pain, mobility deficits, and more. Collaborate with medical teams to provide optimal care for all patients. Evaluate patients using advanced/specialized tests and measurements to determine physical therapy problems, level of function, and discharge environment. Promote and apply appropriate patient care protocols relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs of adult patients. Establish treatment plans based on evaluation findings, and align goals with patient/family, referring practitioner, and therapist. Perform advanced/specialized physical therapy techniques and procedures. Treat patients with complex problems (e.g., co-morbidities and/or poor previous outcomes); consult on difficult cases for staff and referring practitioners. Document findings, patient progress, procedures performed, and time required. Instruct patients and families in home programs. Demonstrate effective time management and meet productivity standards. Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program with a minimum bachelor’s degree; Master’s or Doctorate preferred. Licensed, or eligible, in the state of Illinois with notification of eligibility for examination. Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Position Highlights
