Overview
Speech Language Pathologist / SLP - Home Health (PRN) Location: Lenoir, NC. Position Type: PRN. Schedule: PRN. Office Location: Lenoir. Coverage area: Caldwell County. This home health SLP provides expert, patient-centered care and collaborates with the healthcare team to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions. Responsibilities
Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient\'s response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy Qualifications
Minimum of Master\'s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program At least one (1) year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification as required by state regulations Benefits and Perks
