Interventional Radiologist - MUSC Health Florence Medical Center. The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to work full-time at their hospital in Florence, SC. IR should be BC/BE and able to perform a broad range of general and advanced IR procedures. Responsibilities

General IR procedures: Lumbar punctures, myelograms, arthrograms, fluoro BE-UGH-barium swallows, modified barium swallows, ultrasound-guided biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, gallactograms. Specialized IR procedures: CT fluoroscopy biopsies, ablations, embolization, kyphoplasty, gastro placement, PleurX catheter insertion, nephrostomy tube insertion, port placements, tunneled and non-tunneled catheters, dialysis graft declots, biliary drainages. Candidates must be BC/BE in IR/DR, IR fellowship trained. Community-based practice serving a broad patient population. Staff are well-established, collaborative and dedicated to the hospital and community. Home workstation available. We Will Provide

This community practice functions as a busy clinically based IR service offering a wide range of general and advanced IR procedures. The department serves a large geographic area with frequent outpatient referrals from multiple surrounding counties. Applicants would be joining a high quality, dedicated, and passionate IR team of 4 nurses, patient care coordinator (PCC), and 3 IR techs at the hospital. Consisting of general IR for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients, there is ample opportunity to grow services to this patient population. Our PCC ensures timely services to our patients by handling scheduling and patient communication. Applicants will enjoy professorship status (Clinical Assistant Professor) as a member of the College of Medicine. No research requirement. No radiology or IR residents/fellows on-site at this location. However, affiliated DO medical students, radiology tech students, and others regularly rotate through the department. EMR: Epic.
