The Licensed Optician creates exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering Signature Customer Experiences. Ensures customers are always delighted by performing the key steps of our selling model. Develops the optical skills of others and creates an effective learning environment. Major Duties And Responsibilities
Conveys a commitment to providing unsurpassed Customer Service by performing the Sales and Service Process steps (Connect, Explore and Exceed) and using technology to support experiences. Support problem solving and troubleshooting; engage patients, customers and associates with technology. Lead by example in delivering Diamond Service Principles and Service Vision; celebrate LensCrafters Advantages and set a tone for customer service at the location. Anticipate problems, explore underlying causes, and develop long-term solutions. Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to lifestyle, Rx, and price; assist other retail associates with complex needs. Demonstrate patience and courtesy; locate answers to questions or product information. Collaborate with co-workers and mentor others to share optical expertise. Educate customers on LensCrafters guarantees and services (eyewear care tips, adjustments, warranties, etc.). Handle tasks such as taking and recording measurements, adjusting eyewear, and ensuring accuracy of finished eyewear to meet standards and requests. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) terminal accurately and securely; assist with payments, discounts, insurance, and coupons as needed. Support order tracking and ensure orders are ready when promised (RWP). Maintain store appearance and ensure displays align with planograms; foster a positive relationship with store management and Macy’s Host. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent State licensure or certification by a nationally-recognized opticianary association as an optician Optical dispensing experience Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise Knowledge of current store merchandise assortment and use of Inventory management systems Strong communication and listening skills Awareness of current fashion trends Sales skills with ability to use an IPAD/tablet Comfortable with technology to engage patients, customers and associates Preferred Qualifications
