Pay Range:

$28.05 - $42.10

Full time, nights, Radiologic Technologist position for a candidate who meets the education, certification and registration requirements to perform radiographic examinations.

JOB SUMMARY Performs diagnostic radiology procedures by utilizing equipment and employing techniques and procedures that are appropriate to the entire span of ages served in accordance with accepted standards of practice and demonstrating expertise in limiting radiation exposure to patients and other members of the health care team.

Assists radiologists and other qualified staff physicians with invasive procedures, patient scheduling, clerical and image processing functions.

Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Minimum six months experience as a diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred.

One year experience with patients preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

Currently registered and certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (or registry eligible and must become registered within 12 months of hire).

Current BLS Provider (CPR) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses and other ancillary professional staff

Ability to maintain daily schedules

Clinical skills to enable recognition and to function accordingly in relation to priorities of patient needs

Performs effectively with frequent workload changes and competing demands

Basic computer skills
