The Medical Assistant/CMA or CNA assists providers in care, medical record documentation, and treatment so patients can receive quality care. Obtain and process doctors orders. Provide good customer service on the phone, or with patients, doctors and other medical staff. Benefits

Duties and Responsibilities
Welcomes patients by greeting them, in person or on the phone. Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and recording medical history and confirming purpose of visit. Prepares patients for health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the exam room; provides examination gowns or shorts; assists them to position themselves; arranges exam room, instruments, supplies and equipment. Ensures all related reports, labs and imaging are available in patient records prior to visit. Supports patient care by assisting providers during exam; draws up medications for injections; completes records by recording examination, treatment and test results; relays treatment plan to checkout receptionist. Keeps exam room and injection station supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt. Maintains quality of patient care and customer service standards; adheres to all policies and procedures. Provides age-appropriate care. Monitors and reports patient and staff incidents; supports patient and physician satisfaction efforts. Follows universal precautions and uses PPE; performs sterile techniques as required. Maintains accuracy and confidentiality in medical records; scans orders and lab results into the electronic medical system and communicates lab reports to ordering doctor. Mentors new staff and supports continuous improvement of unit operations. Performs miscellaneous tasks to promote smooth operations. Other duties as assigned by the office manager. Qualifications
Education/Certification: Graduation from an accredited high school program or higher. Certificate of training for Nurse’s Aide. Current BLS. Valid driver’s license. Experience: CMA course preferred, not required. Preferable but not mandatory: 6 months of PACU/Medical Surgical. Equipment/Technology: Experience with computers and office equipment, required. Language/Communication: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Bilingual is a plus. Must understand medical terminology. Mathematical Skills: General math skills. Mental Capabilities: Ability to make sound judgments; organized, multi-tasking, critical thinking; attention to instructions; concentration for long periods. Interpersonal: Good communication skills; team player and flexible. Performance: Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines; strong customer service skills; basic CPSI and patient scheduling knowledge; able to handle/defuse conflicts. About Mountain View
