Position Summary

This is a full-time, teaching-track (non-tenure-track) position with an initial 3-year appointment and the possibility of renewal and promotion. Teaching load will be three (3 credit-hour) courses per semester or the equivalent. Responsibilities begin on July 1, 2026. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in a relevant field. Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent in Musicology or related field, and at least two years of university-level teaching experience. We welcome applications from candidates whose work aligns with our departmental mission. Special Instructions

The committee may solicit additional materials including letters of recommendation, one writing sample (a complete chapter or article, which may be in draft form), a sample syllabus, and a teaching statement that addresses strategies candidates might use in a public university setting where students reflect the socioeconomic, racial, religious, and other diverse characteristics across the state.
