Position Summary This position is responsible for the overall administration of the Psychological Services Unit. The Psychologist Supervisor develops, administers, supervises and coordinates all psychological services programs within the facility, supervises the unit staff, provides direct services to persons in care, consults with institution administration and staff, and trains staff for professional development. The supervisor also ensures compliance with State and Federal guidelines and program standards, manages an affirmative action plan, and maintains the Health and Safety program within the assigned responsibilities.
Salary Information This position is in pay schedule/range 81‑02 with a starting salary between $48.87 and $56.82 per hour. Pay on appointment may vary according to applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes. A two‑year Career Executive trial period is required.
Additional Pay
Employees holding a Doctorate of Psychology (or equivalent) may be eligible for supplemental pay of an additional $6.00 per hour.
Employees holding a permanent License to practice Psychology may be eligible for supplemental pay of an additional $5.00 per hour.

Job Details Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other authorized worker). The Department of Corrections may conduct pre‑employment drug screens, criminal background checks, and fingerprinting. This position is not eligible for remote work.
Qualifications Special Requirement: applicants must possess a current permanent Psychologist license granted by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
Additional: Having a Doctorate of Psychology or a permanent license may qualify the applicant for supplemental pay as noted above.
