New Grad RN Resident – Med/Surg Chest Pain Join Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital as a New Grad RN Resident in our 38‑bed Medical/Surgical unit accredited for chest pain care. You will assist in delivering exceptional care, support patients, families, and teammates, and grow through our accredited residency program.

Responsibilities

Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.

Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.

Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).

Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.

Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.

Document in patients’ medical records.

Work days and 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. with alternating weekends and holidays as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program).

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross within one year of hire.

New graduate or less than one year RN work experience (or RN moving from non‑inpatient to acute direct care with less than one‑year experience).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements

Full range of motion including handling and lifting patients; manual and finger dexterity; eye‑hand coordination.

Standing and walking for extended periods; corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Work under stressful conditions and irregular hours; exposure to communicable diseases/body fluids.

Perform medium work (exerting 20–50 lb occasionally, 10–25 lb frequently, >10 lb continuously).

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60
