Phlebotomist II Float
Quest Diagnostics is looking for a Phlebotomist II Float to cover rotating patient service centers in Henderson, NV. The position requires a state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV). The float schedule is Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with rotational weekends.
Pay range : $21.35+ per hour. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a patient service center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate.
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees and as the point of contact for staff on site, providing regular input to the group lead or supervisor.
Travel to additional doctor’s office or patient service center sites when needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
Minimum 2 years in a patient service center environment preferred.
Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Effective communication in English.
