Malvern Community Health Services (MCHS) is seeking a part‑time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). This role offers a unique and flexible schedule.

Position Summary The Behavioral Health Technician provides specialized behavioral services directed by a detailed treatment plan and under the direction of a BC who is responsible for the treatment plan.

Summary of Essential Position Functions

Provide one‑on‑one behavioral interventions to clients

Assist parents, caregivers, and/or teachers with implementation of behavior plans

Monitor client’s behaviors emphasized in the treatment plan; intervene and redirect challenging behaviors

Collaborate with team members and work in the context of transferring skills to others

Attend monthly treatment team meetings with client, family, and team

Provide services within authorized hours and complete all paperwork within policy time frames

Attend staff meetings and mandatory trainings and comply with all IBHS policies

Attend trainings (20 hours per year if experienced; 39 hours within first 6 months if not experienced)

BHTs with less than six months of prior BHT experience must receive 6 hours of on‑site assessment & assistance by a qualified supervisor; those with more than six months must receive 3 hours of assessment/assistance

Develop therapeutic rapport with treatment team, clients, and families

Attend weekly supervision with a master’s level mental health professional

Travel to and from client sites to perform services (100% travel required)

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Client focused, team oriented, great interpersonal and communication skills, dependable, problem‑solving skills, organizational skills, focused on compliance and performance quality

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completed a 40‑hour training covering RBT (available at no cost)

Or a minimum of two years experience in the provision of behavioral health services

Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education or similar)

Completed a 40‑hour training covering RBT (available at no cost)

Or a minimum of two years experience in the provision of behavioral health services
