Position Summary Malvern Community Health Services (MCHS) provides individualized, strength‑based, trauma‑informed behavioral health supports for children, adolescents, and adults in southeastern Pennsylvania. We are seeking part‑time Behavioral Health Technicians at our Pottstown location to serve Montgomery, Berks, and Chester County communities.
Essential Position Functions
Provide one‑on‑one behavioral interventions to clients.
Assist parents, caregivers, and teachers with the implementation of behavior plans.
Monitor clients’ behaviors emphasized in the treatment plan and intervene to redirect challenging behaviors.
Collaborate with team members and transfer skill sets to others.
Attend monthly treatment team meetings with clients, families, and the treatment team.
Provide services within authorized hours and complete all paperwork within policy time frames.
Attend staff meetings and mandatory trainings; comply with all IBHS policies.
Complete required training: 20 hours per year for experienced BHTs, 39 hours within first six months for non‑experienced BHTs.
Receive supervision: six hours of on‑site assessment for BHTs with
6 months experience.
Attend weekly supervision with a master’s‑level mental health professional.
Travel to and from client sites (100% travel required).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate client‑focused, team‑oriented behavior with strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent:
Completed a 40‑hour RBT training (free of charge) **or**
A minimum of two years experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field (Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, or similar):
Completed a 40‑hour RBT training (free of charge) **or**
A minimum of two years experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
