Patient Registrar – Urology

Position:
Full-time, 40 hours/week
Overview Serve as the primary point of contact for patients scheduling urology procedures and appointments. Use the EMR to register patients, obtain demographics and insurance information, verify eligibility, schedule appointments and obtain pre‑certification and authorization.
Responsibilities
Register patients and enter demographic details into the EMR.
Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre‑certification and authorization for urology procedures.
Schedule appointments, coordinate with clinical staff and reschedule as needed.
Maintain accurate patient history and documentation.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
At least one year of clerical and customer service experience in a medical setting.
Knowledge of health insurance requirements and basic medical coding (ICD/CPT).
Preferred Criteria
Completed college coursework.
Experience working in a busy medical practice.
Familiarity with health insurance and medical coding.
Salary Hourly $26.00 – $32.00
