Overview

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service focused, Patient Registrar to join our Athol Urgent Care Team! This full-time position will have a rotating schedule, includes weekends (weekend hours qualify for a $2.50 per hour differential). We need someone with a professional demeanor, can work well under stress, provide great customer service to our patients, and is able to multitask! Responsibilities

Perform a variety of medical clerical duties, including registration and pre-registration to ensure smooth patient flow. Prepare pre-registration packets for each procedure and obtain copies of appropriate documentation to facilitate billing and collections processes. Process co-payments and payments; register patients and update medical records. Back up incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department. Perform nightly closing procedures for the clinic. Call patients for pre-registration notification including copays and deductibles. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Preferred Experience

Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Ability to relate and work effectively with others. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service background. Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred. About Northwest Specialty Hospital
