Purpose Statement / Position Summary Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles is seeking a Health Science & Behavioral Research Assistant II for the Goran Lab. The Goran Lab conducts clinical and translational research focused on nutrition, obesity, diabetes, and related metabolic disorders in children and families. Under the supervision of the Lead Research Assistant/Research Associate, this position assists in recruiting project participants and administering structured questionnaire survey materials. Responsibilities include data collection, data entry, and study documentation, while balancing demanding study needs with strict compliance practices and institutional/regulatory standards. This includes administering complex protocols, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring adherence to all ethical and regulatory requirements while meeting project timelines.
Responsibilities
Recruit project participants.
Administer structured questionnaire survey materials.
Conduct data collection and data entry.
Maintain accurate documentation and study records.
Administer complex protocols in accordance with ethical and regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to institutional and regulatory standards.
Meet project timelines while balancing study needs.
Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience
1-year of research administration experience preferred.
Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative interviewing and recruiting project participants preferred.
Experience using CASI interviewing tools preferred.
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access preferred.
Education / Licensure / Certification High school diploma or equivalent. College education preferred.
Pay Scale Information $43,680.00 – $56,212.00
