Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation Technician – Level I
Location: Piedmont, SC (On Site)
Schedule: 40+ hrs/week, Monday‑Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Hourly Rate: $27–$32/hr (3‑month contract to hire)
Position Summary General industrial plant maintenance, repair, and installation with emphasis on daily workflow and preventive maintenance activities.
Essential Functions
Daily follow‑up with departmental assignments, checking progress and completion.
Create, update, maintain, and prioritize preventive maintenance actions.
Help keep parts inventory, developing a min/max system for stocking and ordering.
Repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
Perform component‑level repairs on DC/AC motor controls, PLCs, process controllers, and other electronics.
Review all inspection and preventive maintenance forms for completion and issues.
Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly.
Accredited calibration on electronic and mechanical measuring tools.
Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, filters, etc., following checklists.
Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing devices.
Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints, repair manuals, parts catalogs.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Strong technical aptitude.
Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
Adhere to safety standards: OSHA, FDA, LOTO, Arch Flash, and proper safety gear.
Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Technical degree in industrial maintenance, industrial electronics, or mechatronics preferred.
Experience
2–5 years related experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Computer skills – Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word.
Position #2 – Maintenance Mechanic/General Mechanic Level 2 Location: Piedmont, SC (On Site)
Schedule: 40+ hrs/week, Monday‑Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Hourly Rate: $27–$32/hr (contract to hire)
Position Summary Perform complicated maintenance tasks on plant machines, including equipment installation, carpentry, pipefitting, or plumbing. Troubleshoot and repair existing problems. May have certifications in multiple trades such as carpentry or electrical.

Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly.
Perform and document routine calibrations on process equipment and instruments.
Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, filters following checklists.
Use hand and power tools, precision instruments, and testing devices.
Assemble, install, or repair pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints, repair manuals, parts catalogs.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
Welding and pipefitting skills.
Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
Clean and lubricate shaft, bearing, gear parts of machinery.
Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
Adhere to safety standards: company and OSHA safety standards set for work areas.
Education

Experience
5+ years related experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
MIG welding (GMAW) – high‑speed production work and thinner metals.
TIG welding (GTAW) – high‑quality welds on stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys.
Stick welding (SMAW) – versatile applications.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
Welding machine setup and adjustments.
Cutting, grinding, surface preparation for clean welds.
Position #3 – Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technician Location: Piedmont, SC (On Site, 3rd Shift)
Schedule: 3rd shift, 11 p.m.–7 a.m., Sun–Thurs.
Hourly Rate: $27–$32/hr (3‑month contract to hire)
Position Summary Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks to support the reliable and efficient operation of facility equipment and systems.
Essential Functions
Repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
Obtain parts and materials from the tool room or warehouse.
Complete work order documentation accurately and timely.
Reassemble machinery and equipment with proper alignment and adjustments.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks and document them.
Perform lockout/tagout of machinery and systems.
Assist with breakdown maintenance and respond promptly to emergency calls.
Inspect and operate machinery to verify proper function.
Rebuild, maintain, and service assigned pumps.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
Understand and operate plant support equipment.
Perform routine logs and checks on plant support equipment.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills.
Legible writing, good communication, basic arithmetic.
Ability to read schematic drawings and technical manuals.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
Additional Qualifications
Technical degree in industrial maintenance, industrial electronics, or mechatronics.
