Field Service Technician III (Deployable) Join Sierra Nevada Corporation as a Field Service Technician III (Deployable). In this role you will perform maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You’ll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field‑related equipment. You will build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to SNC customers, giving quick problem assessment and corrections for field units.

Document all customer interactions and implement or support implementation of hardware, software, or training changes according to approved SNC instructions.

Be punctual and prepared to work scheduled hours.

Perform assigned maintenance tasks with minimal or no supervisory guidance.

Travel worldwide on short notice and deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/90 rotation.

Follow guidance of shift lead supervisor for daily taskings, expectations, and priorities.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have

High school diploma or GED equivalent with typically 4 or more years of relevant experience.

A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

Ability to understand and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.

Progressive experience using troubleshooting techniques.

Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts.

Ability to frequently travel outside the continental U.S., typically for extended periods.

Current/valid passport and ability to obtain a visa for international travel.

Successfully pass a pre‑deployment medical assessment.

An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications We Prefer

Associate’s degree in a related field of study.

Experience with FCC or FCC GROL.

Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA, and/or A+.

Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pilot static equipment gauges.

Experience with computer basics, networking, and overall IT concepts.

Background in the aerospace and defense industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. Military.

The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
