Technicians are responsible for diagnosing truck problems and performing truck repairs. Technicians create repair plans and fill out parts requisitions for needed parts. They are also responsible for tagging all warranty parts that are replaced and for turning in parts with core value. Technicians must also communicate updates to their Foreman daily and must maintain toolboxes organized and workstations clean and safe. Responsibilities & Skills Assessment
Apprentice Technician: Performs oil change Apprentice Technician: Performs brake inspections and works on brakes Apprentice Technician: Performs general maintenance of the service department including sweeping, cleaning and other maintenance tasks as needed D-Level Technician: Basic chassis repairs D-Level Technician: Basic engine repairs D-Level Technician: Able to perform chassis Remove & Install D-Level Technician: Able to perform preventative and/or maintenance D-Level Technician: Competent in Internal/factory warranty processes C-Level Technician: Basic diagnostic skills C-Level Technician: Comfortable with major vendor/factory C-Level Technician: Can perform most chassis repairs C-Level Technician: Can perform engine accessory repairs C-Level Technician: Able to perform complete engine Remove & Install B-Level Technician: Advanced diagnostics skills B-Level Technician: Complete engine repairs B-Level Technician: Complex chassis repairs B-Level Technician: Knowledgeable on all vehicle component repairs B-Level Technician: HVAC A-Level Technician: Proficient on all vehicle component repairs A-Level Technician: Able to diagnose all vehicle component failures A-Level Technician: Competent in root cause failure analysis A-Level Technician: Vibration analysis A-Level Technician: Aftertreatment repairs A-Level Technician: Aftertreatment diagnostics Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or the equivalent is preferred Mechanical aptitude Positive attitude Dedication to Excellence Motivated Team Oriented Desire to Succeed Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times Must be able to pass post offer drug test, and physical Compensation
