SeamonWhiteside is seeking an ambitious and talented professional to serve as a Civil Designer III in our growing Mount Pleasant, SC office. Description

The Civil Designer III is a growth position focused on developing civil design fundamentals, SW+ design, and office standards. This role supports the engineering team in master planning, design, and research tasks. The Civil Designer III will enhance drafting, design, and research skills to assist engineers and project managers, and will mentor junior staff. Continued mentorship and development are expected to improve plan presentation, engineering design, and project delivery. About Us

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution 3-5 years’ experience and Engineering in Training (EIT) certification Key Responsibilities

Review shop drawings and materials submittals Review as-built civil systems from surveyors Meet billable goals and project deadlines Coordinate with outside consultants Prepare CAD drawings and perform QA/QC reviews Develop civil plan sheets for construction Address agency comments and perform quantity take-offs Assist in project analysis and design under senior staff supervision Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare reports Attend pre-construction meetings and site visits Gain experience in site infrastructure inspections Desired Skills

Advanced AutoCAD skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Understanding of project scope, scheduling, and standards Teamwork and project management abilities Knowledge of design software (e.g., Civil 3D, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS) Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently Other Skills/Abilities
