Base pay range:
$140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Travel:
100% to project sites across locations
Salary Range:
$140,000–$180,000 base + project bonuses + per diem + benefits
About the Role:
We are seeking a
Senior Travelling Superintendent
to lead the construction of large-scale hyperscale and colocation data center facilities. This role is responsible for managing all field operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and subcontractor performance on complex, fast-paced projects.
As the top field authority, you will work closely with project management, trade partners, and client representatives to deliver technically demanding infrastructure with zero compromise on uptime requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all onsite construction activities from mobilization to turnover.
Drive day-to-day coordination of trades with a focus on sequencing, safety, and milestone adherence.
Manage field installation of complex MEP systems, critical power infrastructure, and white space buildouts.
Ensure strict compliance with site-specific safety protocols and OSHA standards.
Interface with commissioning teams and equipment vendors during integrated systems testing (IST).
Conduct daily field meetings, look-ahead planning, and work verification to ensure progress and quality.
Partner with Project Managers to manage change orders, schedule adjustments, and owner communications.
Mentor assistant superintendents and field engineers to build a strong site leadership team.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of field leadership experience on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
3+ years of direct experience managing data center or mission-critical projects.
Deep technical knowledge of MEP systems, UPS, BMS, CRAC/CRAH units, generators, and switchgear installations.
Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractor coordination and hold teams accountable to project goals.
Proficiency with construction technology platforms (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, BIM 360).
OSHA 30 and current First Aid/CPR certifications required.
Preferred Experience:
Managing multiple concurrent build zones or fast-track scopes.
Familiarity with client-side protocols for technology or colocation partners.
