RN - PCU at Atrium Health Cleveland, Region 3 (Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, Central Division – CMC Main + Mercy + LCH). Unit details: 32 beds, Level 3 Trauma, Teaching Hospital? No, Certified Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center. Facility address: 201 E. Grover St, Shelby NC 28150. 18 months PCU RN experience required. Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes. Responsibilities
Care for patients not requiring mechanical ventilation, including CHF, dysrhythmia, chest pain workup, stroke, abdominal illnesses and infections, respiratory illness, diabetes, AKI/CKD, ETOH withdrawal, IVDA, and related conditions. RN: 1:4 typical patient ratio; may adjust to 1:5 based on acuity. LPN: 4:1 (if applicable). CNA: Days 1:12; Nights 1:16. Support within the Department includes CNA for ADLs, Receptionist/HUC (Dayshift only), Charge nurse as a resource, Phlebotomy (yes, other than nurse draws), IV/VAT Team, RT 24/7, Hospitalist 24/7, Intensivist 24/7, Telemetry monitoring at the bedside and on the nurses station. Experience with traches, cardiac GTT, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, and management of central lines. Floating within region and scope of practice; you will be required to float to all facilities listed, per region needs. Decline if not agreeable. Technology & Equipment
