We are seeking a Medical Surgical Charge Nurse at CHI St Vincent.
Overview As a Medical Surgical Charge Nurse, you will oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your acute care experience adds value to our nursing team. You will advocate for fellow nurses and support them in reaching their full potential in alignment with department goals and objectives. You should be accountable, confident, and an excellent communicator in both 1:1 interactions and group settings.
Responsibilities
Serve as a leader and teammate within the department
Ensure direct reports and the department deliver high-quality patient care
Maintain a high level of engagement on the floor by connecting with nurses, patients, and families
Attend leadership meetings to learn about new initiatives and areas for improvement, and share information with the team
Monitor productivity and efficiency of the department
Mentor team members and share knowledge with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others
Job Requirements
Unencumbered RN license in the State of Arkansas
At least 2 years of acute care experience, preferably in a medical ortho/neuro setting
BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Benefits and Compensation We offer a sign-on bonus up to $25,000 for eligible hires. Additional pay may be available for participation in our clinical ladder, as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement, and relocation assistance.
Where You'll Work CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600-bed faith-based, non-profit acute care facility. It provides quality health care to patients and communities from across Arkansas. The level II trauma center is a regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, behavioral health, cancer care, neurosciences, and other specialties. We have been recognized by US News & World Report for hospital excellence in several areas, including heart care, colorectal surgery, and joint replacement.
Pay Range $36.36 - $47.66 / hour
