We’re hiring a CAD Design Engineer with strong 2D and 3D drafting skills to support the design and detailing of large-scale power plant equipment. This role involves creating precise technical drawings for structural steel, pressure vessels, ducting, and piping systems using AutoCAD and advanced 3D modeling tools.
Required Skills
Permanent US Residency (Green Card) or United States Citizenship. Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (e.g., Tekla, MicroStation) At least 3 years of mechanical design Strong understanding of structural steel, pressure vessel, and welding design Ability to apply advanced geometry and manage complex assemblies Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed ducting and piping layout drawings, including isometrics and support details Create assembly and piece mark drawings for structural steel and pressure vessels Interpret project specifications and convert them into accurate design documents Ensure compliance with OSHA, AISC, ASME Section VIII, B31.1, and B31.3 standards Prepare bills of material, revise drawings based on internal and client feedback Review and comment on fabrication and erection drawings from vendors Collaborate with project managers, clients, and fabrication shops to resolve design issues Evaluate constructability and fabrication practicality of design solutions Propose design improvements to streamline manufacturing and assembly Please eMail your Resume to rick@libertyjobs.com for immediate consideration.
