Bern's Steak House
Bern’s Steak House is looking for new members for our maintenance team who have experience in HVAC and refrigeration to work in our maintenance shop and restaurants. Work is done on site at several facilities requiring HVAC and Refrigeration along with other maintenance responsibilities.
Responsibilities and Duties
1st shift and some weekends and various on call hours
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Run and repair high volume equipment such as HVAC and refrigeration systems
Install/Replace HVAC equipment including, but not limited to: ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits (gas or heat pump), rooftop package units (gas or heat pump)
Work well with a small team
Preventative Maintenance
Routine cleaning
Qualifications and Skills
HVAC experience needed.
5+ years experience with knowledge in refrigeration function and theory, the ability to diagnose and perform replacement of HVAC related components such as Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps, Furnaces & Air Handlers, Duct Work & Zone Systems, Thermostats, Air Filters/filtration Systems, Low and high voltage wiring
EPA Certification
Excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations
Minimum Tool Requirements: Basic Hand Tools- wrenches, screwdriver/nut drives, sheet metal/duct tools, and hammer.
Follow sanitation policies and cleanliness
Must work well with others and communicate
Must work quickly in a safe and effective manner
Need to have consideration for other employees and maintain a professional demeanor
Ability to multitask in a high-volume restaurant setting
Ability to work in a diverse environment
