This position offers flexibility with scheduling and is ideal for those looking to work on an as-needed basis. Work Environment: This position
operates
in a clinical healthcare environment. Responsibilities: Patient Care:
Assist
physical therapists in implementing and
modifying
treatment plans based on patients’ needs and progress. Provide hands-on therapy, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed. Assessment & Documen
ta
tion: Collect and document patient da
ta
, including progress notes, treatment outcomes, and responses to therapy. Report any changes in patients' conditions to the physical therapist. Education & Support: Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, equipment
use
, and strategies for enhancing functional independence. Offer guidance on home exercise programs and preventive care. Equipment Management: Set up and main
ta
in therapeutic equipment and assist patients with the use of therapeutic devices and aids. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Participate in care team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Main

Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy
Assisting from an accredited program. Licensure: Current s

te licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assis

) in NE Experience:
Previous
experience in a skilled nursing or rehabili

tion setting preferred but not
required
. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide compassionate patient care. Proficiency
in basic computer skills for documen

tion purposes. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, perform physical

sks, and handle equipment as
required
for therapy sessions.
