Job Summary
We are currently seeking PRN RN's to join our weekend rotation as RN coverage. This position offers flexible hours, requiring only eight (8) consecutive hours of coverage on Saturday and Sunday.

Reports to: Nurse Manager/DON
Position Type: PRN (As Needed)
Shifts Available: TBD Weekends
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and administering medications. Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to address concerns and provide updates on patient status.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Mentor and guide nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care protocols and facility procedures.
Ensure all nursing practices comply with state and federal regulations, including infection control, safety protocols, and resident rights.
Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to stabilize and manage acute situations.
Work with other nurses in taking weekend, night, and holiday calls on a rotating basis.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in NE
Experience: One (1) year of experience in a skilled nursing or long‑term care setting preferred, but not required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Skills
Strong clinical assessment and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
