Patients depend on our team for the best in evidence-based care and innovative therapies, such as inhaled nitric oxide, high-frequency oscillation, and invasive and non-invasive ventilator support modalities. Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care.
Summary
Provides care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Responsibilities
Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required. Other Information: Can be licensed as RT or TT. National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential is preferred.Department Specific Credentials:Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU,Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatric areasAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Adult areasNote: For added clarification, see Mandatory Education Requirements Grid.Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.Additional Credential Info: RT or TT required
