Director of Community Integration Bleuler Psychotherapy Center, a mission-driven nonprofit clinic serving Queens for over 70 years, is seeking a skilled and compassionate intake therapist to join our behavioral health team. In this essential role, you will conduct intake assessments, evaluate client needs, and ensure new clients are welcomed into care with empathy, clinical precision, and cultural sensitivity. You will work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds -- children, adolescents, adults, and families -- across both our mental health and substance use programs. Base pay range : $72,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr This range is provided by Bleuler Psychotherapy Center. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience -- talk with your recruiter to learn more. What Youll Do
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and walk-in appointments via our Open Access system Formulate diagnostic impressions and determine clinical appropriateness for treatment Use assessment tools to evaluate risk, trauma, and presenting mental health or substance use concerns Prioritize high-risk clients and coordinate timely assignment to ongoing care providers Complete assessment documentation and progress notes in a timely, compliant manner Refer clients to outside providers or community resources as needed Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and warm handoffs to therapists and prescribers Carry a small caseload and provide brief therapy or group facilitation for clients awaiting assignment Support clinical quality initiatives focused on evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and MI Attend regular staff meetings, trainings, and workshops Other clinical duties as assigned What Well Look For
Master's degree in Social Work and
NYS LMSW
required;
LCSW strongly preferred Minimum
4 years of clinical experience , including intake and diagnostic assessments Experience working with
behavioral health and co-occurring disorders , including substance use and gambling Proficient in DSM-5 diagnosis, clinical risk assessment, and EHR documentation Skilled in crisis intervention and care coordination Familiar with OMH Part 599 and OASAS Part 822 regulations Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based environment Culturally responsive
