Your Impact As a
Mechanical Engineer , you'll be responsible for the design, coordination, and technical execution of HVAC systems across a range of commercial and mission‑critical projects. You'll mentor junior staff, collaborate cross‑functionally, and represent mechanical engineering excellence within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities HVAC Design & Engineering
Develop complete HVAC system designs, including load calculations, duct layouts, equipment selection, and sizing for high‑performance buildings.
Create detailed schematics, construction documents, and specifications using
Revit
and
AutoCAD .
Lead energy‑conscious designs that comply with evolving
ASHRAE ,
NFPA , and energy code standards.
Project & Team Collaboration
Coordinate with architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical disciplines for cohesive design delivery.
Respond to submittals, RFIs, and support site visits during construction administration.
Attend and contribute to coordination meetings, ensuring project alignment and client satisfaction.
BIM Integration
Model and maintain HVAC systems in
Revit , ensuring seamless integration with other disciplines through clash detection and BIM coordination tools.
Participate in internal BIM reviews and workflow improvements.
Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
Provide guidance to junior engineers and drafters, supporting their technical development and quality output.
Share insights, improve internal standards, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
What You Bring
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Credentials:
EIT required; PE or on track to obtain.
Experience:
5–15 years in HVAC design for commercial, hospitality, or data center projects.
Software Proficiency:
Strong skills in
Revit ,
AutoCAD , and load calculation tools like
Trane Trace
or
Carrier HAP .
Mindset:
