Job Summary The Mid-level Plumbing Designer / Engineer serves to focus primarily on the design of building related projects, including hotels, apartment buildings, retail / commercial spaces, and educational facilities using Revit and AutoCAD software.

General Duties

Design plumbing systems for various commercial buildings

Participate in the development of system design calculations as well as the selection of equipment for use in buildings

Prepare detailed design documents and

Complete specification writing / editing as well as code compliance research

Coordinate work with other disciplines

Perform site surveys to determine and document existing conditions

Provide construction administration services

Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office

Strong communication and time management skills

Excellent Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work

Knowledgeable with codes, standards and design guidelines

Possess an excellent work ethic and attitude

Qualifications

4+ years of experience of plumbing design

2+ years of experience using Revit

EIT / PE a plus

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred but not required.

Location: Irving, TX

Travel: 5%
