Day Shift, Varied Schedule; 7a-7p; Rotating weekends, call, and holidays. 32 hours per week. This position is eligible for full-time benefits. Overview Nebraska Methodist Hospital is growing and expanding. We are looking for new graduates or experienced radiology professionals to work in our CAT Scan imaging department. The professional will perform and assist with computerized axial tomography (CAT) scans. Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions Smart Growth – Willingness to learn and become proficient in other department duties Partnerships and Collaboration – Participate in training and mentoring of students during rotations and externships Supply management – Maintain inventory levels by stocking exam rooms and informing Central Supply of needed items Flexibility – Perform call, cover extra shifts, holidays, and adjust schedules as needed Efficiency – Use Cerner to document exam indications, start/end times, and identify second technologist for accurate statistics Teamwork – Help with department workflow and ensure timely completion of exams Quality and Safety – Apply clinical imaging protocols and positioning techniques with appropriate oral/IV contrast as patient-specific; ensure sterile technique and communicate pertinent information to supervisor or radiologist Equipment care – Clean and maintain equipment; report faulty equipment Patient care – Provide care appropriate to patient age and comfort; assist physicians and coworkers as needed Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program Experience:

1-2 years as a CT Technologist, or successful completion of a CT externship, or board-certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Licenses/Certifications:

ARRT Radiography (RT.RARRT) and ARRT Computed Tomography (RT.CT.ARRT) certification required CT board eligibility considerations: technologists with clinical training may be considered with the expectation to obtain advanced board certification within 12 months of hire; or if clinically trained, certification within 12 months after completing training Basic Life Support (BLS) – current BLS strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months Active state radiologic license (RAD.NE or RAD.IA) as applicable Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills Venipuncture and IV management for power injector use Keen interest in cross-training across modalities Ability to work with patients of all ages (infants to elderly) Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and organize workflow Adherence to Universal Standards and Radiation Safety precautions Flexibility to accommodate schedule fluctuations, overtime, and on-call responsibilities Physical Requirements

Medium physical effort; ability to exert up to 50 pounds Job Hazards
