Job Title: Production Supervisor II Location: Olive Township, MI – Onsite Department: Fossil Generation – Coal-Fired Power Plant Operations Per Diem: Offered to non-local candidates Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor II to join our Fossil Generation team at our coal-fired power plant in Olive Township, MI. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, supervise plant operations, and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable generation of power. This role requires a strong background in heavy industrial operations and the ability to work effectively with unionized teams and cross-functional departments. Key Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day operations of the power plant, ensuring safe and efficient production. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operators and technicians. Monitor and maintain power generation systems, including fuel handling, steam paths, and electrical systems. Read, interpret, and act upon piping and electrical drawings to troubleshoot and solve operational issues. Make informed, timely decisions in response to operational challenges and emergencies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and unionized employees to maintain operational excellence and compliance with company policies. Implement process improvements and contribute to continuous operational optimization. Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience in heavy industrial manufacturing; experience in power generation or thermal plant operations preferred. Supervisory or technical leadership experience in an industrial environment. Familiarity with power generation systems (fuel systems, steam paths, electrical systems, etc.). Ability to read and understand piping and electrical diagrams. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with unionized employees and cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred; equivalent heavy industrial experience will be considered. Preferred Attributes
