Tesla What To Expect Supervise a group of equipment maintenance technicians that are responsible for equipment availability, and performance. Perform preventative maintenance and repair on a variety of electro-mechanical, robotic, and pneumatic manufacturing equipment. Develop and maintain maintenance and calibration schedules for all tools, machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing facility. Perform supporting activities for engineering and manufacturing including 5S and Lean manufacturing activities, material handling improvements, production line configuration, and safety procedures. Manage workload with a positive attitude as a hands-on team player in a collaborative work environment.
This person must be able to build upon previous successes and take our Maintenance teams to the next level. They must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect part quality, production efficiency, work cell ergonomics, equipment maintenance, etc. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.
What You'll Do
Provide effective supervision, training and coaching to assigned maintenance employees to achieve the required equipment up time, equipment repairs, and production goals. Maintain department records and inventories Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and the plant's safety program Provide the shift to shift communication link in order to keep all team members working toward the same goals Maintain ongoing preventive maintenance program to ensure optimum equipment performance through maximizing MTBF, and minimizing MTTR Oversee equipment upgrades and refurbishment projects, effectively coordinating with vendor support Ensure accurate spare parts inventory and on-site availability to support equipment repairs and upgrades
What You'll Bring
Degree in Management, Engineering, or related disciplines or equivalent experience Prior experience working with toll coating or roll-to-roll coating equipment a plus Strong preventive maintenance development experience, familiarity with reliability centered maintenance principles preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Beckhoff PLC: troubleshooting with, or programming Vison/Inspection Equipment (Keyence / XRAY / Surface inspectors) Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Essential Physical Demands: Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump cap and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
