About The Role We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Piping Designer to join our EPC team supporting power generation and distribution projects. This includes work on gas turbines, renewables, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and transmission systems. You will be responsible for executing complete mechanical designs, applying advanced engineering techniques, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, constructible solutions.
What You’ll Do
Develop piping designs including P&IDs, General Arrangements (GAs), equipment layouts, and inline instrumentation
Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and support procurement activities
Perform field design work to verify existing conditions and coordinate with client personnel
Create construction-ready documentation including installation drawings, isometric drawings, support details, and bill of materials
Support site activities during construction and startup phases
Identify and communicate scope changes and design updates
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure design integration and alignment
What You Bring
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design
Familiarity with gas turbines, BESS, substations, transmission systems, and renewables
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Inventor, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong understanding of piping materials, supports, valves, and instrumentation
Ability to interpret vendor drawings and convert them into construction documents
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience with flexibility/stress analysis is preferred
Ability to work independently and in virtual, cross-functional teams
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
Willingness to travel occasionally for field verification and support
