Overview
Well-known aviation company is seeking an experienced Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join the growing team as a Mobile Service Technician. The role involves maintenance on customer aircraft, diagnosing and repairing mechanical components and systems on jet aircraft, and performing a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties. Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair or replace defective aircraft parts.
Ensure maintenance procedures are executed in accordance with company regulations and safety standards.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Document inspection findings, maintenance operations, and repair work in detail.
Collaborate with a team of mechanics and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex aircraft issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAR and other relevant FAA regulations.
Assist in training and development of junior mechanics and interns.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety of aircraft operations.
Qualifications
Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance with knowledge of both airframe and powerplant systems.
Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications.
Comprehensive knowledge of FAR 43 and other FAA regulations.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration with team members and non-technical personnel.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and aircraft test equipment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Willingness to participate in ongoing learning and training opportunities.
