Our Oklahoma aviation team is dedicated to providing the expertise and leadership to assist clients in meeting current and future needs. Garver's growing Oklahoma Aviation team is seeking an experienced

Licensed Civil Engineer

who will be responsible for performing a wide array of aviation-related design, planning, grant administration, and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Air Service Airports.

Responsibilities

Project support/management for runway and taxiway construction, airfield lighting and signage installation, access road construction, drainage improvement and pavement rehabilitation projects

Significant design and construction oversight for multiple general aviation clients

Collaborating and/or coordinating design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians

Coordination with clients and funding agencies

Provide outstanding service

The

Licensed Civil Engineer

will primarily be responsible for designing airport projects, including improvements to runways, taxiways, aprons, airfield grading, drainage, hangars, fuel farms, parking areas, terminal buildings, and other airport construction related projects.

The

Civil Engineer

must be able to work as a member of a multi-disciplined team, work with diverse clients, and produce complete design phase deliverables, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, exhibits, technical reports, and narratives. Tasks associated with creating a set of construction documents include drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates. Design development software packages will be used, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil design packages.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program

4+ years of related experience

Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D

PE in Oklahoma, or ability to obtain within six months of hire

Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients

Some travel may be required (approximately 10% with occasional overnight)

Preferred Skills

Aviation related experience

Licensed pilot or other aviation-related experience
