You are employed as an Adjunct Faculty member/Instructor on a contract-to-contract basis, with no future expectation or obligation for employment. Your employment may be terminated At Will at any time. Responsibilities
Maintain in-depth knowledge of industrial automation topics Programming PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs Good mechanical aptitude Understanding of electrical circuits as they relate to automation Instruct students through self-paced labs, and ensure course learning outcomes are met Create an effective, supportive learning environment for Salt Lake Technical College students Evaluate student learning through labs and assignments Maintain student performance records Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Work without close supervision in a team with diverse membership, take initiative and resolve problems Work within a prescribed curriculum and departmental procedures while maintaining patience, creativity, and cooperative attitude Maintain an excellent attendance record and positive attitude Communicate effectively with a broad range of people with diverse abilities and backgrounds to maintain good working relationships across the College Work with all groups from various academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities All Faculty will maintain an on-site campus presence to encourage in-person relationships and create engaging, meaningful, and impactful learning experiences unless approved for online-only courses. Schedule
Courses taught from 7am-1pm or from 3pm-9pm at the Westpointe Campus. Other schedules may be evaluated. Documentation

Salt Lake Technical College or equivalent certificate in Automation Technology and 4 years of relevant industry experience, OR 6 years of relevant industry experience. Preferred Qualifications
