The primary role of the Controls Technician is to support company objectives by keeping plant equipment in excellent working condition. Responsibilities include reducing setup, repair, install, maintain machinery and process equipment. Duties & Responsibilities
Troubleshooting PLC/Control Systems, VFD and controls. Supports and completes Preventive and Planned maintenance of electrical equipment. Identifies and reports the need for repairs/major repairs to Maintenance Management. Assist in the diagnoses of electrical malfunctions in machinery, equipment and processes. Completes all tasks while strictly adhering to all required industry guidelines. Required Education, Skills & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required. 3 – 5 years’ experience or AAS Electrical Tech / IBEW Apprentice. Experience working with manufacturing equipment. Experience with Controls for Conveyor Systems and Power Transmissions, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Pumps and Valves. Experience with Temperature controls and PID loops. Working Conditions
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors, loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions, lifting/carrying, and frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending.
